Just found out that you or a loved one has cancer… Of any kind?
Perhaps you are already living through it?
We know that a cancer diagnosis can be an extremely emotional and difficult time not just for the person with the diagnosis but also for the family and friends around them.
We regularly hear people say that they need help with practical issues such as finances and transport but they also need emotional support too, an impartial ear to discuss things that can’t be shared elsewhere.
We provide all kinds of support from information and benefits advice to peer support meetings, social evenings which are the perfect opportunity to meet people in a similar position to you.
We aim to simply “be there when needed”. The group believes that laughter is often the best form of medicine and because it isn’t available on the NHS we have it on tap!
We want to give you the strength and drive to live with, through and beyond a cancer diagnosis providing as much or as little support as you feel you need.
We have been established for over 10 years but we recognise we still have lots to learn but along the way we know we have helped lots of people and hope we can help you.
“I had no idea what to do next. Luckily I could talk it over with someone who had been there and come through it” Ms A. 23
“I’ve now got a circle of wonderful friends something truly good has come out of all that I’ve been through!” Mr M. 62
“I will always be grateful to your contribution to the surprise party for my terminally ill daughter – a memory we will treasure forever.” Ms O. 46
